John Howard Society of Alberta (Provincial Office)

The John Howard Society of Alberta provides the following services:

• Preparing research papers on criminal justice issues such as dangerous offender legislation, community based sentencing and community notification of the release of offenders
• Responding to government consultations and proposed legislation
• Educating the public by way of media responses, speaking in public forums, research papers and policy briefs
• Administering pension, health and insurance benefits for the local Societies
• Participating in the John Howard Society of Canada (www.johnhoward.ca)
